Jamiewardme
i am curious as well, currently just scraping it off with an old ID lol I use the extendable kent scraper. It comes with a few scrapers that you can swap out. One is a scrubber type sponge, one is a plastic blade, and one is a metal blade. I've never had to resort to the metal blade, the plastic one always seems to be enough to get the coralline off. Link to comment

patback
I just got Stevie's scraper and although its smaller than I expected, it worked well. Just like a razorblade but it won't rust. Link to comment

Tbone675
the best i have ever used is a easy blade glued to a mag float 125. it says it is for the 350 but it works fine on the 125 too. it is a one pass solution. Link to comment

ReefNoobie21
would it cloud up my tank for long if i scraped my whole back wall off? i was thinking about scaping but i odnt want my tank floating full of the stuff Link to comment
disaster999
I too use kent's scraper once of the best scrapers ive used. the metal scraper wont wear out and can be replaced if needed. scraping coralline aglae will kick up some dust, especially if your walls are caked with it, but it wont cloud for long. once the dust/coralline flakes settles/gets trapped inside your filter, your left with clear water again. but you might be left with a purple tinted water tho. nothing carbon/water change cant fix. patback
How big did you expect it to be ??? lol , its about the size of a playing card. Hmm. Maybe it was redesigned. Mine is about the length of my pinky finger and about half as tall. Link to comment
Trogdor447
I personally would rather my hand be in the tank doing this. You have a much better feel for control.. especially when you start getting close to the edges - where i would rather let it grow than risk slicing a hole in it! But the scrapers linked above work pretty well. I had a garbage one that was way to thin and the blade literally kept cracking and shipping off into my tank. It was metal. So just pay attention to what you get! Link to comment
StevieT
Hmm. Maybe it was redesigned. Mine is about the length of my pinky finger and about half as tall. That is the clownfish shaped one. We also have one that is larger and also gets the algae off curved and 90 deg corners of the tank m Link to comment
