The red star is in the tank, but I am not sure if I can put the pistol in since I have a tiger pistol in there already. This guy is about 7" arm to arm and has some beautiful red and white stripes on the legs. I think I am leaning towards allowing it in my tank unless its going to kill things. Now for the second. This is obviously a pistol, but currently I have 1 tiger pistol shrimp in the tank. This guy is about 3/4"-1" while the tiger is almost twice its size. Could I add this guy to the tank also or will the two pistols fight?? He was huddle up in the same hole with the brittle star when I was checking out the rock.
Deleted User 3 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I dont know about the shrimp, but I wouldn't kill the poor star, they're good cleaners, mine rarely moves out of the hole he's in. The green serpent ones are the ones that like to snack on fish and inverts.

I also pulled out 3 small brittle stars maybe an inch wide and they went in the tank.
TeflonTomDosh Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 the shrimp looks like another pistol to me. I'm pretty sure they'll stay away from eachother. They're pretty timid.
Fnard Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Star should be ok, just keep an eye on it. Never had problems with a brittle, but have heard carnivorous stories. 2nd pict def looks like a pistol shrimp to me. Pretty nice finds.
Archaic37 Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 The star was put in the tank, not 5 minutes later my pep shrimp was "cleaning" it which more looked like trying to eat it so the pep got some shrimp so he would leave the star alone. The pistol is sitting in a cup in the tank. It would be kind of cool to have 2 pistols, but I am afraid the tiger may destroy the new one.
