MysticReef
It's been in my tank since day 1 as a hitchhiker on the live rock I purchased. Is it okay to have or should I get rid of it while I'm still ahead. Link to comment
mjames6688
Looks like Bryopsis... Keep it 'trimmed' and get a Emerald Crab... If you want you can blast it with Magnesium... Either way should work! Link to comment
rafastank727
Kinda looks like turf algae Link to comment
MysticReef
Bryopsis is also known as hair algae, right? I don't think it has the look of bryopsis. It actually looks more like turf algae with that 'wirey' type look rather than the fern look of bryopsis. Link to comment

TheKleinReef
i had a little clump of turf algae. it looked just like this. luckily it was only in one spot. i just chipped off that section of rock and threw it out. I haven't seen any since and its been almost 4 weeks. Link to comment
MysticReef
Thanks for all the advice everyone! I'm pretty positive it's turf algae so like the above poster said I'm just going to chip off some of the rock it's on since its only in a few small patches. Link to comment
