Hey David, sorry to hear you have the nudi, it's the eggs that are always difficult to get, dips don't kill them. You should be able to get this one in time. I am battling a pest of my own at the moment and know what it can do to your enthusiasm for the hobby, hang in there :)

Yes I do have a six line wrasse in there for about 2 months ago but I have notice my wrasse sleeps at night in the creek cave and that's when I see all critters and pods come out and roam the scape at night. I usually wait about 1 hour after the lights are off and my family are off to bed. Then I come to look with a led flash light. I notices the big giant pods running around into my SPS an zoas. Sad that I will have to move all my softies and zoas / palys to my other tank which I don't have a page thread for. It's just a frag tank nothing special but I will soon need to transfer them all over.

I know I was trying out SPS and so far I don't have any luck on keeping them colorful like everyone else do. So I guess I stick to the easy one like monti cap and digi.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. If you lost an SPS piece in a day it was not AEFW's. If it was AEFW you would notice bite on the underside and it takes many weeks/months for a frag to finally succumb. Larger colonies that I have seen infested with AEFW never actually die. Their growth seems to combat the flatworm damage. If I can help you with your SPS in anyway just lmk.

Thanks Pod for your comment and help.

Sorry to hear about the sps man.

Kinda the reason why I don't get into the sticky fields. Hope everything works out for you.

Everything will be okay once i find out what i am going to do with this tank. I kinda broken up my scape. So it is looking a hot mess. But for stress relief, i got really lucky to find a Nano size Pink-Tips Elegant coral. It's my newest prize showpiece. Here is an example of what it look like

SPS is such a pain I wonder if its ever worth it; I feel your pain, losing them is very stressful.
Yes, it is so true. Can't believe i lost 2 of my favorite colonies that i had. i was looking through how to dip acros and there are so much way to do it that i am confuse on what product to use and dip them. Any advice on dipping?

If i got rid of the 2 colonies that was infected in the tank. Will i need to need to take all my sps and dip them? or do i need to break down my scape and dip the entire rock? Do they stay on rocks or only on acros?

I don't think you have aefw like pdpimp said. The acro doesn't die over night. You would be able to slowly see it go down hill. Loss of color and polyp extension. Rtn and stn may come from a secondary weakness in the coral. So highly doubtful you have aefw. If you want a overall dip, I've been a fan of revive. It's been working pretty well for me since now I'm dipping everything before it goes into the tank.

And u know I love the elegance. Nice find.

Someone has to start a SPS/LPS quarantine tank thread. The cost in setting up a second tank capable of keeping SPS is a costly one but it may less costly than loosing great numbers of corals over time due to pests.

I have just set up a 10g fish QT, as I will introduce some fish in the near future. I am thinking to set up a coral QT after that. As you know I have lost more than $500 worth of colonies and frags to AEFW in the last month, and it may not be over. It could easily happen all over again in the future too. I think I can set up a pretty good coral QT for <$500. I could use it as a frag tank as well.

A little investment can go a long way towards saving time, money, and our hair in the future.

RTN is a pain - I have had some success, if caught early enough, to break off the branch with RTN, and smother the break wound on the colony with crazy glue. I think I read that in post here on NR a while back. It works 50/50.

Congrats on the elegance - it could be the signature piece in your already gorgeous tank.

Thanks everyone! That elegant is really awesome with the pink tips, i never seen one with pink tips plus its a nano size elegant. Does anyone have experiences with an elegant? Right now i feed it mysis and brine shrimps and leave it under a shade away from strong flow.

Also my scape is not original how it was but right now i have it 3 island until i can transfer all my zoas over to the other tank. Going to take some pictures very soon!

damn niceeee~

where did you get the Bellus Angel? I likem.

Thanks JT, i got my baby Bellus Angel from here >>> Ocean Blue Aquarium

I am so happy i choose this place to be my main hangout and LFS. They just set up an amazing 300g tank and inside this store is nothing but rimless tanks with all Radion Led fixtures. You just got to see it in person and you will be amazed!

Wow, I like the setup of the place (has that Euro up kept look to it); not to mention their contemporary website. Impressive. Definitely have to stop by if I am EVER in FL! Hmm doesn't look like they ship livestock though. :(

You mentioned them using Radion's? Do you know how the growth of everything is under them?
