I feel like if your tank were an athlete, its picture would be on a Wheaties box.

  • 2 weeks later...

Sorry everyone, Been very busy working and dealing with this little guy. I didn't know what it was but for the past 2 weeks i have been checking all my corals at night time with a Led Flash light to see if i find some more.

Can someone ID this guy for me? is it reef safe? It look crazy and i don't have any snails in my tank. So this must been a hitchhiker..

+1 to Nudibranch. Looks like a nice one though, shame you can't setup a small tank for it as they are really nice looking creatures in their own right.

some of them are close up so i dip each one by one and put them on my frag racks

inspect for eggs,i believe dipping doesn't get rid of eggs.better to be safe than sorry.

First of all you sir have an amazing tank, the scape is great! Sorry to see you got a little nudi problem, like iphone said it would be smart to look for eggs when you dip and try to remove any clutches you find. The best of luck to you and your 40b.

Sorry to hear about the nudis :(

at least they are manageable...you will be pest free soon enough. If you have a wrasse they will also help...every Z & P tank should have a wrasse I say :P

Thanks to everyone for your support! i only found 1 nudis but i have been dipping and examine each zoas checking them to see if i could find any eggs or nest. No luck but i will be doing some more checking before i move all my z & p out the tank. I will keep everyone posted if anything new happen.

As of right now i can not update any new photo because the tank is going into a transit and looking to shabby to be posted. I have lost 2 of my favorite SPS colonies due to AEFW or something else that has cause it. But it just started receding from the bottom and then by the end of the day the base turn all white.

I absolutely hate zoa eating nudis! I had a couple in my 3 gallon and they took out a nice frag of my zoas. Hopefully non of your corals were effected too badly. Can't wait to see an update!!!
