why not use photoshop to make the picture more lifelike instead? you're perpetuating the idiocy that editing a photo is only used to make things look better than they do in real life.

 

 

does your coral look radioactive in real life? no? then don't photoshop it to look that way.

that would basically make millions of beautiful images created out there and saying they are junk cause they are not fully realistic. Or used PS to edit the scene to make it look much more dramatic and eye appealing. nothing wrong with turning an image into something crazy as long as its not a item trying to pass off as how it looks for a sale.

Fact: In this hobby photoshop is considered taboo because people boost saturation to sell corals

Opinion: Thinking that photoshop is evil because people abuse it to sell corals is idiotic

Fact: Editing pictures of corals to be obviously fake perpetuates that idiocy.

Opinion: There's no need to enhance coral colors when they're so vibrant to begin with, but if people want to do it to be artistic, more power to them. It just gives the idiots who think photoshop is bad more fuel.
