In the past I've always used the flash from up at the top of the tank, but most of these I either shot from the bottom edge upwards or straight in from the left, I think I like them better this way.

Our local club did a grow out contest and we each started out with a small frag of ORA Green Birdnest, progressive shots over the 4 month period. My goal was not to win, but to have comparable growth with some of the "big boys" in the club. I ended up in 2nd.

Nov - in the tank for a few days

Dec - Day & Night Shots

Jan - Starting to fill out

Feb - Short month, was in a hurry to post a pic, not the greatest.

March - Ended up holding my own, now to find a place for it in my overstuffed tank.

Tinpan do you have pictures of the 1st place? What other forum do you frequent?

I have threads on R2R and every now and then post on Reef Central, local club is called Richmond Reef Club, same forum name for all, quick Google search should get you to the RRC easy enough. I can post up the contact sheet of the grow out contest. It's 2 pages. Not sure how to do it on my phone so I'll do it tonight from home.

Unfortunately this tank will get torn down in about 6 more months, I've started a 93 cube upgrade with a 40b sump. It's going so freaking s l o w . Ugh!

Beautiful tank, this just got mentioned in the totm thread so this may blow up. I'm now following. Are you going to do a build thread for the new cube?

You know it!

That wrasse looks like he's up to something.

Ha! Sorta, whenever I bring out the camera he tries to intimidate me by getting all spikey and flashing at me. Lots of attitude from a little fish, how ever not just plain mean like my black and white clown, attacks me every single time I go in the tank, but he's also the dumbest fish in the world. I use a small container to dip out water from the tank to thaw the fish food, well dumb dumb swims into the container at least once a week and gets trapped inside. Of course once trapped he flips out so i have to pour him back in. You would think he would learn by now.

Finally got this project off my bucket list, no more tank STDs, although it may be too pretty for a QT.

Wow! Sweet tank, and amazing pics! One side of me wants to say hurry up on the 93g but another says just roll with this beauty :)

That 6 line pic is gorgeous, I feel like it should be a stock photo somewhere special lol
