turbofreak403
Hello Everyone, I have been working on this build for a little while now. I have a lot of the tank sorted. but still have a lot to work on. Going to need some help from you guys on overflow designs and things like that so i figured i would show you all what I'm working with. Its a 40 gallon breeder with a 20 long sump. Tank will be laid out peninsula style with all my overflow and returns on the short end. I will be building my own overflow box and either doing Herbie or Beananimal overflow design. Tank will have a 24 LED Light that I'm building Controlled with Reefkeeper Skimmer in sump, small algae refugium. and return pump in sump Might make it a media rack instead of refugium and have a small frag rack in sump. Still up in the air Not sure what I'm missing or how to set the heights of the overflows but hopefully someone can help me out Thanks for looking! Hope you guys like. Rough Idea Going from Biocube to this! Rough Framed Stand with tank on it Stand with some finish work done Size of working space in sump area. circusordie16
ive got something similar, you can see my overflow in my tank thread. one thing to consider is the flow. i still dont have it solved completely. i started with 2 vortech mp10s and the return on one short side. then moved to one vortech on one short side with the return and one vortech on the other. right now the corals are very ahppy with the flow but i have a cyano issue on the sand and i think its due to lack of flow. i know i have enough water movement for a 40b, just not sure of the right placement.
