I have to somewhat concur with the OP about cadlights. I have the 8g mini and while the glass is very nice, the AIO portion of it was bush league at best the way it is put together. I kind of saw where they were going with the "removable" back portion but it was so poorly machined it really is stupid. The AIO portion doesn't even touch the back wall kinda making it one big chamber... I had to super glue air line tubing to it to make it somewhat sealed. Also whatever they put on the glass in the back of the AIO portion to black it out is already peeling and water has been in the tank for 2 days.

As far as customer service is concerned I had mixed results. It took a couple tries on the phone to talk to someone about ordering, but when I did they allowed me to order the tank without a light at a very fair price (im pretty sure I paid 120 with shipping). Unfortunately I was quite upset about the low quality of the AIO and emailed and called to see about sending it back due to the bottom portion of the AIO falling off before it was even tested for leaks and received no response.

Different models seem to have different 'challenges'. I have an earlier 12g and the back chamber glass partitions are a bit uneven, hight-wise, but otherwise its fine. 8g's seem to have more serious issues.

I call almost everyday for a month, Nevered answered. "As a company and business we stand behind our products 100% and if there are any issues, we work to resolve it immediately." that part is true, they told me to fix it myself. Never again

Sent a Pm and a email 6 days ago with no response. I even PMed your filtration specialist asking about a custom sump. Well he replied 1 day later. My PM said can you make me a custom sump? He replied ummmmm I don't see why not Email Eddie. I own a business and when a customer contacts or stops my employee he doesn't say ummm contact Brad he says let me get your name and number I will make sure Brad contacts you. Waiting on Eddie to return a email is pointless. Your company is getting a reputation just like Glasscages. I have since taking my business to Pico Aquariums for a custom sump. I received a response in 2 hours returned a drawing and payed his quote. 2 weeks for a custom order with your company it takes 2 weeks for you to answer your phone.

yes, i did research as well and have seen those similar complaints. but one thing is that they are all taken care of with everything that the customer requested. ive received replies that they are satisfied with the outcome and CADs solution. also, mostly all of the complaints are very old man. for you to still be bringing up those outdated complaints make you seem not updated and unfair. you can also see that there are no recent complaints of the Artisan II systems (which is what i got), so saying they currently "suck" just isnt accurate. i even saw a thread where a lady bought 2 tanks from them and opened them up after 1.5 years. then found some chips on them and CAD still sent her 2 new ones. she had to pay for shipping, but damn, thats pretty good. i read on your past post that, "they arent willing to bend over backwards for you" or turned down your offer. maybe thats why they ignored you cause your offer isnt worth their time. i manage a car dealership, and if i have a bunch of other customers willing to pay reg. prices i would have no choice but to dedicate our time for them. nothing personal but i gotta run my business.Good luck on those Lee Mar's. check the seams and build quality man (i did before buying mine). there are NO BEADING on those seams and there are huge long bubbles in the seams themselves as well. asked them why, they just told me "thats the way the silicone cures". looks like they just build the tank, then used a razor and cut off all the beading to be straight. Elos, Vitrea, Miracles, CAD Lights and other high end tank makers have straight seams and a BEAD. Any CAD light tank owner will tell you, our seams are perfectly straight and BEADED also NO BUBBLES. do you even know the structural integrity of seams with or without a bead? assuming you are looking for a rimless too.as far as for equipment goes, its top notch dude. Silent Cone skimmers, Recirculating Cone bio reactors, large refugiums, silent overflows, bright LED lights and priced well under $1K compared to other "Full packages". good luck sleeping with all that "hate" in you.
Looks like this guy was right about Lee Mar. :(
