what I have been doing is Making a large Batch of ASW and doing a 15L water change and saving 15L for the water change next week. (Red sea max 130L)

Do I need to Aerate this and Heat it up? before I do the Water change?

Let it stir overnight.

Iv been Doing this to save Time,

would it be best to just do a Fresh Batch up every time ?

The reason they suggest it to mix for overnight or even for a few hrs period it to get it to the display temp. But, you are also raising the PH. I found that the PH of My salt mix was at 7.4 if I mixed it up and then just re-heated it. When I put in a power head and let it mix for a few hrs the PH would be 7.9 or so.

7.9 or even in the 8's is Ideal for our reef tanks needs!!!

I usually tend to only mix up what I will need for that particular water change. I always have an extra gallon on hand of pre- mixed for emergencys. I also always have about 10 gallons of RO/DI water to use to fill the top off tank, Or just in Case.

Hopefully this helps you, this is just what works for me, and has for at least 15 years!! :)
