Ya there we go its looking sweet now just try and find someone like a painter or wood specialist and ask them for a nice varnish...They should hook you up but the painter i seen mix up this orangeish red varnish........man it was the sweetest color and he put a clear seal on it.It was for a bar thing you would rest your arms on but it was the best varnish color ive ever seen.Id try to stop in somewhere and have them mix something like that up.

you could also fill in any cracks with wood putty or recut and trim the trick to a tight trim its to cut it 1?16 bigger.

Thanks for the tips and suggestions. I may or may not redo the trim... I'll have to go over it again, the trim just wasn't straight when I took the pics. ;)

Thanks pico and mike!

Just use some wood putty, alittle sanding, and you'll never even know it was there. Thats the good thing about wood, very easy to hide your mistakes.

So I went over the trim and one piece is just slightly off, so I'm just going use some putty.

Just received my order from Saltcritters, things look great!

Everything was packed nicely and the heat pack was still warm.

Overall this first order was great and will be ordering again soon! :)

I don't know. I'm just excited to see this one in the competition. I would guess as long as the thing is mechanically up and running and it's wet by the 1st, it should still be ok. The rules seem a little nebulous in that regard. But you're gonna have to get it cycled and stocked before the end of next month--unless you plan on winning with a tank containing only salt water. hehe.

Any chance that you will post pictures from under the canopy? Super interested in this build! Good luck in the contest.
