joekr
I'm concerned I am over feeding my blood shrimp. Since he is a carnivore, I've been feeding him once a day some sinking shrimp pellets. Does this seem excessive? Does anyone have an opinion if this is too much? I've been trying to do cleanup after 5 minutes, but all my snals come out it's hard to work around them with the turkey baster...All my other cleaning crem members are scroungers.. Link to comment
Tempest
Blood shrinps are scavengers and will eat leftover food in the tank. If you want to feed him try giving him Mysis shrimp or small chunks of frozen formula 1 and 2. Once a day feedings sounds fine, maybe even overkill depending on what else is in the tank and what you feed them. Link to comment
joekr
thanks for the info tempest. right now all I have is the cleaning crew in there, hence the concern over not alot to scavenge... I have 12 nessarus (SP?) 1 scarlet 1 blood 1 emerald I just notice a little bit of slime algae again last night after I believed I defeated it. I'm going to get a full water check tonight or tomorrow at the LFS and I cut my lights down again to 6 hours a day instead of 9. I think I've been feeding too much. Once a day it is....and then I'll remove the left overs after 5 minutes... Again, thanks! Link to comment
