Spirofucci
My RSM 130 (34 gal) is over four months and has a bazzillion pineapple sponges in the back chambers. Otherwise there is not much junk back there. I did take out my auto top off float and clean them off of it so I wouldn't have a flood. My question is should I get rid of them when I clean the back chambers or leave them there. I think they eat nitrates and other organics, yes, no??? Link to comment
Aquanist
Keep 'em. Great little filter feeder IMO. Link to comment

Leave them, they're feeding off your excess nutrients. Link to comment
