lights for babies tears

I just got some dwarf baby tears for my 2.5 gallon desktop. I have a 15W florecent plant bulb on it. The substrate is riversand with some clay plugs from my backyard. Is there something else i should(or could) do to help the plant?

this is a freshwater question, perhaps yo should try plantedtank.net or aquaticplantcentral. HC likes high light though so it might not fair too well under your strip lamp

High ligh and co2 injection to get it to grow out in a mat. Otherwise it will grow upwards towards the light.

for a tank that small, you can do a dry start method to get the mat growing then add the water and don't need to use CO2 injection.

Dwarf baby tears grow much much better with co2 injection. I used it for my planted shrimp tank when I had it up. Also look into Pfertz additives, I used their fertilizers for my tank and they work great. What are you keeping in this tank? But yea the dry start works great but I would still follow up with co2 injection.
