Nanite
Hi everyone Well i went down to the local shopping complex and i went to the pet store there and i took a picture of the tanks whick i marked "A" and "B" but you'll have to enlarge the picture to see the letters that are in red.. The only prob with these tanks is that the inbuilt filter is not a good one so if i did go and get it i' would mod the back of it for a hang on power filter. but the one that i'm going to get is a Jebo 70 litre. Leave me a msg as to what your comments are on these two tanks. Link to comment

But later on i may get either one in that picture to try some mods on it, which i think those tanks really need... Link to comment
NewbieReefer
I got a Jebo 40 gallon w/stand for $260. I like it. I modded the above filter and added a refugium but it didnt work out so well so I just added som filter floss, followed by carbon, then by fluval sponge media. It then flows back into the tank via a 90 deg. pvc elbow. Check out the pics. So far its worked good. Just till I get a sump/refugium made. Link to comment
Acoustic
To be constructive for once...... I feel that going with a prebuilt/prefab tank is a waste. You place yourself under so many limitations. You end up having to DIY everything which in the end most people get electrocuted or thier house burns down. My advice to you is to just go with a plain glass aquarium. Then you can get MH or PC lights now or you don't have to worry when you want to upgrade later. Plus your filtration options are limitless. Link to comment

Hi Accoustic Well i do have two aga tanks, one is a 4x2x1 and the other is a 3x2x1, on these two i did a diy trickle filter inside the tank but i think i made it a bit too big , You can see a picture of my trickle filter under ( my trickle filter) in the diy section, but this was about 16 years ago, and i want to get back into it again by starting a nano.. then i'll think about setting those other two tanks up again. The only prob with these two tanks is that there is no holes in them so that i can add a sump under the tank.. On the 70 litre jebo i'll be getting the light updated, i'll only have 1 fish and mostly live rock in the tank, then i can prog frag some things to the other aga tanks later on... Link to comment
