AReeferIsExpensive
I want to divide a tank with a piece of acrylic or something, leaving 4 inches or so in the back for hiding the heater, filter...etc. I want the divider to be BLACK so you cant see the things through it, and so the background of the front will be black............but problem is that its going to be inside of the tank, covered with water. So, what's safe that i can cut that's black to divide the tank? are there any paints or spray paints that are safe to use inside of the tank? any other weird ideas i could try? im clueless~ I cant think of where i would get thin, solid black plastic that i could cut for it..... if i did just buy some random plastic object that was black and big enough to get a flat piece out of it, would it be safe? (or are there kinds of plastics that i cant use?) im determined! Link to comment
pyrrhus
contact a local acrylic store/ tank builder. they will have a black abs plastic that is basically black acrylic. cuts the same and is totally safe for use in the tank. no paint that i know of can claim that. Link to comment
