basicfisherman Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 It looks like there is air trapped in my Favia. I feed it today before work and came home to see air bubbles trapped in the top of it. See picture. Is this something to worry about and will the air naturally escape. It apears in a couples areas to be working it's way out of it.
not_so_nano Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Nothing to worry about, give it a little shake if it bothers you tho.
basicfisherman Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 Just tried shaking it and the air wouldn't escape from inside. It looks like it will diffuse out of the tissue sooner then later.
GokesReef Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 And where might the favia have gone to take a breath? I wouldn't worry about it.
Builder Anthony Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 bubbles from sandbed, bubbler, new frag?
basicfisherman Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 My skimmer can get a lot of micro bubbles into the system from time to time. I think it may have been from that. During the night the bubbles seem to have been expelled. Looks good now. Thanks for the input fellas.
