Dual BRS reactor with Biopellets and carbon?

since dosing carbon is for bacterias that are consuming nitrates and phosphates, I guess you don't really need the GFO.

 

You can try removing it and see if your phosphates rise or if the biopellets will be enough to control it..should be enough.

 

Running GFO/Carbon now but could i switch out the GFO with biopellets?

you could as long as the carbon is in the first stage, however getting enough waterflow through the biopellets might be difacult. your better off running two seperate reactors because the flow needed for both is so different.

 

you could just dose vinegar instead of running bio pellets.

vinegar is a cheaper method by far.
