jahoban Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I have recently set up my first saltwater tank which is a biocube 29 gallon Can anyone suggest a power strip with 2 timer settings so that I can run the 2 lights independently? Thanks for any help Jason
Mini-Dude Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Why don't you get 2 regular timers and plug them into just a normal, good quality power strip?
olendorf Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I was looking for one today and after an hour or so I found this; 2 outlet timer I didn't buy it yet. Two separate timers are still cheaper.
PSYS Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I would definitely opt to get a surge protector with two separate timers rather than one where the timers are built into the powerstrip. If one of the timers goes, you gotta ditch the entire powerstrip and replace it. It'd be much less expensive to do it separately.

jahoban Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 Thanks for the advice guys I will be going with the two separate timers on a quality power strip Any suggestions on a specific brand of timer or where to get them? Thanks Jason
OceanDweller Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 It would be nice if a manufacture would take note and make some reef friendly single and double timers that had reef friendly features at a low cost "would be great for nano's". Shoot I'd even incorporate dimmers on the timer seeing as how everybody is going to LED and might be able to find a way to throttle back flow. "please steal my idea"...
