chabooky386 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I am looking for a new one for my 20 gallon reef tank. I haven't bought one in ages and I was going to get your opinions from you guys first hand experience with some of the newer heaters. I am setting up a new 20 gallon reef tank and I live in Tx. As hot as it gets out here I just want to make sure my tank is at the right temp. A lot of heaters I read about have all mixed reviews.
paratiddies Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I've got a 50w Hydor Theo on a 10g, it's been almost a year and so far so good
Daleo Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 The most reliable ones I've EVER owned are the Tetra heaters at walmart.
1fishmonger Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Only Jagers and even still, every heater is on a temp controller of some variety.
Evanski9 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Most reliable and accurate are the jebo. Right now I'm trying the finned titanium 150x
Daveg99 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 50watt hydor theo on a 13 gallon cubish tank. I keep it in my ac70 media basket.

joeyhatch11 Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 TruAqua.com, 100W Digital Heater. I've been using this on my 10G nano for about 4 months now and it's great. I even have the 200W version on my 40G breeder. I like the digitals over the dials plus it has a sensor built in and gives you the read out of the temp of your tank. Only $25 too!!! http://truaqua.com/aquatop-digital-heater-100-watts.html
wolfador Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 1x75 watt Jager on my 10G and 2x200 watt Jagers on my 56G
siwelk Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 You're a brand hoar! You have everything upper tier brand. I hate you, you tunze seller. j/k
