Cyano Gone!!! but so is my Fighting Conch

Hey N-Reefers!

I had a problem with Cyano in my tank.. big splotches mostly on the sand. Thanks to all the great info i get from the posts here, i rid myself of the problem. In a couple days in fact!

All i did why buy a little Rio90 powerhead. Aimed it in the opposite direction of the general waterflow in the tank to create turbulence and all that red slime disappeared overnight. It's been 4 days and i havent seen any since.

But now here's the problem...

Ever since i installed the new PH my fighting conch has gone completely missing. Havent seen it at all.

He was my most active invert grazing day and night. My immediate thought is this "clean" sand doesnt have enough algae/cyano/detritus for him to eat and went into hibernation. The sand isn't pure.. there still seems to be small bits of algae and what not dusted throughout the substrate.

Does anyone concur or have another idea? Also, if this is the case, how do i get it out of hibernation?

You dont think with the new cleaner tank that i'm starving the guy do you?

I've not heard of a need to ever feed a conch.
