Jon Lazar
We’ve wanted a seahorse tank for a long time, and when we started setting up the RSM we had that idea in mind as something we would grow into “some day”. With that in mind we’ve established a tank with relatively low flow, flexible lighting that runs cool, and mellow corals that would make good neighbors in a seahorse tank and don’t require intense lighting or crazy flow to be healthy and thrive. Well, that “some day” has arrived! About three weeks ago we added our first seahorse, an ORA female kuda from BRK named Buttercup. She’s been a great eater, putting away Hikari mysis shrimp like there’s no tomorrow, and is very active in the tank. I’ve been lowering the tank temp gradually and it’s now down to 77 degrees, and will go a bit lower yet. I’ve also had to turn off the MP-10, but haven’t had the cyano return. Link to comment
