ofna001
I am in the process of building an arduino controlled led lighting for my bc14. I am using mean well p series driver, arduino uno, 20x4 lcd, 2 temp sensors, both white and blue leds on same driver. I am kinda new to arduino's. is there anybody out there that has an any programming code expierence with a setup like this? i have everything assembled just having issues with code. i've been using reefledcontroller.com for my main source of info, but my damands are a bit smaller than theirs plus he is using d series drivers. any info would be gggrrreeeaaattt.. I am also interested to know. I am looking at getting the Rapidled kit for my Biocube29 and using the Typhon controller (arduino based) in the next few weeks. The Typhon comes with a base programme that allows on/off and ramp up/down on up to 4 channels but it doesn't allow more than one programme per channel each day in its standard configuration. I wanted to use it to control the sunrise and sunset and then run some of my LEDs as moonlights in the evening. To do so requires a new or revised programme. I think boostled has some code listed on their site but I think it is a basic programme. I hope this acts as a 'bump' and gets more views! Link to comment
ofna001
i saw that someone on http://www.michiganreefers.com/forums/do-y...-diy-retro.html has done the same as me, but was using buckpucks for a driver. they talk nothing about the programming tho. Link to comment

ofna001
dewey your thread is the one that inspired me to take this challenge on lol. im getting a bit further with the arduino, got thr rtc working i think. just need to get the 20x4 screen working right. the text is a bit choppy. im hopefully be able to post pics tommorow Link to comment
lohitha
My original plan was to add a RTC and LCD to display the "reef time" which is of course different from the actual local time and the reef temp. But, I had to put that plan on hold to focus on the light and the water chemistry. I am in the process of adding more blue to get my SPS to color up better. Let me know if you like to see my program and I can send it to you. I have now syncronized blue and white fading because my clowns go agressive under blue light. Male gets little too bossy under blue light and end up getting beaten up. Link to comment
