Nice sound reducing walls.

Actually quite very smart thing to do!

Those 2 walls eliminate any noise there is. Blank cabinet can easily start "echoing" various humms and such. That thing is dead silent.

Cant wait till i can plumb my sump and get pictures of it on here :) kat how well does the silencer for your overflow work? Do u think it will fit in the single slim life reef overflow?

My overflow is pretty silent, lifereef says that not all installations are noisy to begin with but I got the silencer anyway. As for it fitting in the slim, I have no idea James, if lifereef sells the silencer with the slim then it will fit. Jeff usually calls for a credit card, you could ask him then, but he is very prompt with his email responses.

Echo: that is sick! can you tell me what all the chambers are for or what they hold? thanks.

Thanks! Far right is drain line/bubble magus NAC 6 skimmer, center chamber holds sand/LR/chaeto/heater, then overflows through another bubble trap and up through carbon/GFO/purigen (removeable basket), then overflows into far left chamber with return pump "rio 1700"/ATO.

this is my custom sump for my 29g biocube. nothing fancy like the ones above but it works well with my setup.

water dumps into my mediabasket through the sump and have a Sicce Syncra 2.0 return pump.

found this nice 65w LED bulb at Home Depot for 25 bucks rated 5000K.

Here are some shots of my sump on my ADA 22 gallon (this feels so personal!). The sump is a 20 gallon high. The water feeding to the sump is split in two, with half going to the fuge (which normally has cheato in it) and half to the skimmer. The water is reunited in the center of the sump, and either goes through the media reactor or back to the return tank.
