PuppyHorton
I have a Green Favia and a War Coral Favia that I bought early this summer. They both arrived home to my tank safely form the LFS. For a few weeks they looked great! Sending out sweeper tentacles to eat Rod's Food, mysis, brine shrimp, etc. Then they slowly declined, now to the point that I see more skeleton than coral. My War Coral still has a little color, but the green one has lost all but a few specs of tissue. My tank is a year old, 65 gallon (I know, not a Nano) with Aquatic Life 4 bulb T5 fixture. I light the tank 9-10 hours, 2 hours actinic and 8 all 4 on. My parameters are all good, and all the other corals are growing like gangbusters. (Acans, shrooms, Zoas, Hygrophilia, Birds Nest, Trumpet, etc) I keep up on my water changed every 2 weeks and only dose once between water changes with Kent Essentials a&b.. I feed the fish daily and the corals 2-3 times a week. I have a skimmer and a canister filter, and well as 2 powerheads. Please help me save teh corals. I am at a loss. Dan Link to comment

PuppyHorton
How close are they to the light and do they have a real good water flow? They are toward the middle to bottom, about 8-10 inches from the light. I haev 2 Koralias in the tank (425 and 650) so my flow I think is good. Link to comment

With a stronger flow it can entice the favia to throw its feeder tenticles out, but I dont realy what the problem might be. R u dosing for calcium or anything else? Link to comment
