justinT
Randomly found this while googling for unusual monti's. Don't know if someone has posted it before, but it looks pretty cool! If I had a bigger tank I'd try it! http://noonemexico.blogspot.com/2009/02/mo...-bubblegum.html Link to comment
pablom617
Very cool, I saw something very similar with two different types of Birdsnest that intertwine. Link to comment
BocaIvan
That is a very nice piece.... So is the idea to put a bunch of frags close to each other and hope they combine into one coral? Link to comment
TheUnfocusedOne
Atleast a year old, if not two. Those pics are from a Reef Keeping article if I'm not mistaken. Might of been the TOTM from over at RC. Cool regardless. Link to comment
owlshead19
This is a guy who lives near me - he currently has an ad up in our local craigslist http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/for/2669466500.html (link to article in his ad - which shows you how he made his "composite" frag) I guess he's (justifiably) pretty proud of his stuff. saltwatercoral
I wonder if you took multiple color Monti frags and glue them together if they would eventualy grwo together as 1 piece? Would this work for diff types of corals? Say birds nest, have one main color and then diff color branches!!! Would this work? Link to comment

The link in his craigslist ad http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2009-01/totm/index.php shows how he did it about 1/3rd of the way through the article. He did just patchwork it together on one frag plug - left some space between... Link to comment
BocaIvan
That guy has a sick setup and some really nice corals! Link to comment
redfishsc
I think it's a neat idea but I hope we don't end up with a "Coral Centipede". Or maybe that would be kinda cool. A 6 foot long zoa with hundreds of thousands of tentacles. Link to comment
