JChap
I was doing a water change today and realized just how bad this "brown fuzz" algae has gotten. What kind of algae is it? And what do I need to do to get rid of it? It's a 29 biocube. I'm running LEDs (9am - 9 PM, thinking this needs to come down), I've got an Aquatic Life Protein Skimmer in the first chamber. Floss, chemipure elite, purigen and cheato in second chamber. I have an MP10 and upgraded stock pump, therefore I have plenty of flow. I do weekly 5 gallon water changes. Link to comment

JChap
Full shot of tank. The "brown fuzz" is on half of the lower left rock with the GSP, a little on the rock with clam, on the half the rock behind the clam up top, and then it's starting to grow on some of the rock on the right side somewhat by the feather duster. I was reading the algae thread and heard that people have had luck over stocking their tanks with CUC and just making sure to do water changes etc, any other advice would be great! Link to comment
Justind823
You seem to have good filtration. Have you tested your phosphates anyway? Link to comment
JChap
No I haven't tested the phosphates recently. Link to comment
