beliak
Trying to connect Inventronics drivers to a power cord. Driver has 2 Wires for AC. Power cords have 3 Wires.... Black and White on Driver. Black, White and Green on Cord. Guessing the Green is a Grounding wire. It's a 3 Prong Power Cord if that helps. I don't know what to do with the Green? Link to comment
tinkerer
did it come as a kit together or did you get the cord alone? you should be able to ignore the green wire on the cord if the driver does not need it. or you could look for a two wire cord. IMO, I've been an electrician for a dozen years. Link to comment
Cintax
Black to black, white to white. Green is ground. Link to comment
beliak
Not a kit. Bought all the parts stand alone from LEDGroupBuy, but got the Cords and some nuts from RapidLED. If its the ground Wire, and i just leave it be, it wont do anything? Should i put a wire connector on it just in case? Link to comment
Cintax
You can do that. I'd just cut it back the the insulation and either heat shrink or tape it. Link to comment
beliak
Well, made the connections... And my string doesnt light up... /sigh Using a multimeter, a connection registers between wires, but not through the LEDs. Nor does it form a circuit from one side to the other. Did I kill the LED's? Or am I missing something? Link to comment
