And BTW nanotanx, I sub to ur thread, expect some comments soon if my LFS is open, i will get some LR 2day (will test water too), but its New Years Day so probably not Happy New Years I might get a new skimmer to go along with the sump (current skimmer is HOB) Then another light Then MP10 and so on... Spencer7 Posted January 4, 2012 Author Share Posted January 4, 2012 I asked a Q, but nobody cares ): I'll repeat lol my tank is 20x20x20 the Current USA Nova Extreme Pro T5's have a 20" version... if i put those in the back and used two of my Par 38's in the front, i could have a some serious (thriving) corals, i feel LED's aren't really fantastic (yet) at growing corals, if u look on reef builders they do mention how all the amazing tanks still use halides and T5's maybe a combo on my tank would work WHAT DO THE COMMUNITY HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT? Spencer7 Posted January 6, 2012 Author Share Posted January 6, 2012 Now that i think about it though, i dont wanna change bulbs (expensive pain) Another option is the Kessil one or two of these guys (10-15k should be fun) it is a little dissapointing b/c i know that Halides (T5+MH=Best Combo) for now have the best growth with coral, but i still am going LED I got a flashlight for Chirstmas and i have seen a lot of weird stuff in my tank, including a parasite/worm in my Favia Im worried about my Open Brain who doesn't look too hot (stung and killed part of my ric frag) Link to comment

Checklist 2.0v Stuff to do by April 20th *Sump with Refugium.... *New Protein Skimmer.... *Black Sand.... *Re-Scape.... *MP10.... *Extra Display Light.... *Swap Fish.... *Breed!.... *ATO.... When something is done it will get a ninja face, this will take a while but they are major improvements!!! Link to comment

Try to breed some mandarins (i know its hard but i have had mandarins b4) and go with a LR heavy scape Im leaning towards Choice 1 but Choice 2 is inevitable thats partially y im getting the fancy sump why another light B/c i want MORE and im not happy with the growth, plus the back is really lit BTW, i scape would be very Minimum (only 2-3 rocks) Link to comment

Cleaned Skimmer Did Algae Water Change Tested Water Cleaned Filter Sock Added PhosGuard and a Poly Filter to the sock Cleaned tank front Arranged corals Link to comment
