Reefer69
So for the past few weeks ive been getting this nasty film algae on my front glass. I was scraping it every day with the mag float.I thought i had gotten all of my nutrient problems down which i did. I could not figure it out and was get pissed off. So i remembered algae likes the red spectrum and uses it to grow. I looked at my light and they are in this configuration, from front to back. fiji pruple, atinic, 12k, atinic. All ati bulbs cant remember which is which. Anyway, i figured id move the fiji purple bulb in the middle and put the 12k up front by the glass. WOW!!!! No more film algae. Its been 3 days and bearly a light dusting of algae on the glasss. Just thought i would share this experience and if anyone else has tried this before. Link to comment

Reefer69
brand new, not even 3 months. I did get the intitial algae break when i first put them in. But that went away after a week or two. The film however stayed in its place until i moved the bulbs around. Link to comment
