metrokat
I wish. Nope it is GSP, which encrusts rather like a gorg but alas it is not. Link to comment
dwhite_2006
The polyps looked spindly and featherly in the close up, but in the further back picture it does look more like GSP. Meh bad. Link to comment
wee luv daycare
Holy macro! Lots of color, looks good in my opinion. We would also take some of the macro off your hands if you run out of room. Link to comment
streetsong
Wow, you've got a lot of color and growth going on! I really like how unique your pico is. Link to comment

metrokat
Motherload of updates! First, the Pico has been moved next to the BC. Second Bubba the sexy shrimp in the pico died. My first casualty in any of my tanks. sniff. Third, I added sand, the bare bottom was visibly awful if you can't get the schmutz out. The nano mag has scratched the acrylic badly, making picture taking very difficult and the pictures awful. I now have 2 heaters in the silly pico and the temperature still feels cool to me! Added: Pulsing Xenia Acan Assorted zoas and palys Blastos Now the proof in the puddin':! FTS today Baby aiptasia was hanging on to the tank till he sensed sand Clear side view because I don't use the nano mag there: Lots of salad leaves in here: I like the top down view of the tank a lot Oh and the lid doesn't fit properly because of the 2 heater wires. Major PITA Link to comment
Chyendra
Cute Pico!! Will the heater fit in your HOB so you can declutter the display tank a little? At any rate, I love all the macros Link to comment
metrokat
nope, the HOB is a stock filter and itty bitty. Link to comment
asting
Painted one tank, scratched another? Link to comment
metrokat
it's the same tank. grrrr Link to comment
surgicalsense
Better with the sand in it. The backing in now blue. Macros stand out better, pretty. Link to comment
.Newman.
so nano mag is bad for acrylic tanks? Link to comment
metrokat
I don't know if it is bad for acrylic or the quality of this acrylic tank is the culprit. Two of us contestants in this competition have had the problem. Link to comment
sandlot13
Love the rescape And I too enjoy that top down look!! Link to comment
moblues
Top down is my preferred vantage point for this too. Jealous of you new sand, it sets everything off nicely. Link to comment
metrokat
Alright, so how come nobody is pointing out how inadequate my filtration is in this tank? I've got one little piece of LR around which I have wrapped the caulerpa runner. That is it. Granted I have a lot of macro, I even have one mangrove in the HOB and I have the sand (which is new so not exactly established). Other than that I have a dead brain coral skeleton with coralline on it. adding back the piece of LR I had before is on my mind, will seriously use up space unless I can find some rubble some where. OR bring back the tonga branch.... but seriously, how come no one pointed out my lack of natural filtration in this tank? Link to comment
.Newman.
because everything is blocked by algae. jk. you could use some more rock like you said. but youre ok now for minimum livestock that you are running here. a few corals and a snail or something right? Link to comment
metrokat
I don't think I even have a snail in here. It is just macros, and a few corals. Link to comment
Micro-Reefs Aquariums
Kat, Your tank seriously looks like when I go diving in the shallows at some beach sites in Monterey. The array of macrro algae is impressive! MG Link to comment

~muz~
Really pretty setup this, sooooo colourful Looking for inspiration for a new 2g Pico i've acquired and am impressed with the algae idea now Do you water change each week? Thanks Link to comment
metrokat
Thank you. I am rather lazy with the water changes, having macro really helps. Link to comment
