supershaji
Hello All, just a quick question, my new project for the 1' Nano Cube in my daughter's room, in which I intend to house a couple of clowns in their tentacle anemone, a few live rocks too. now what kind of lighting would be best for this setup? there's not much discussion on CFL on the forum here, so Im concerned, if CFL, what kind, the warm white (orange light), or day light (white light) cfl? how many watts? and whats the difference between PLL lights and CFLs? thanks in advance people! pablom617
when you say 1' nano cube do you mean 1 foot or 1 gallon? Link to comment
herranton
Don't use the screw in spiral CF lamps you get from Walmart/Target/HD/Lowes. They will lead to an algae problem because they are too warm (even the cool white). If you are on a budget and you will not have coral, You can get screw in CF lamps from a LFS that will be the correct spectrum, or even N.O. florescent IF you will have coral, it really depends on what you want to keep.
