cal10lee
Went to the LFS to pick up a few more members for a CUC and saw this super cool snail! Asked the fish guy what it was and told me it was a Nassarius snail and said it was good for stirring up sand and cleaning up dead stuff. The guy didn't have any cleaner shrimp so it went and bought the "little" guy. Thing is after observing it for a while I noticed one of the antennae near the eye region was missing... is the little guy going to be okay? Also is that why he's hanging out at the top of my tank instead of being burrowed or on top of my sandbed? Link to comment
Reef Chicks
They only have one "antenna" (which, btw, is called a syphon). However, unless your tank is a one gallon pico, and you have only one fish, one nassarius will not do you any good. They are usually stocked 2-3 per gallon. PM me if you need more. Link to comment

Haha, I know what the siphon (really long round tube) looks like, it's missing its antennae tho :/ sadness. i will definitely consider another one or two. i already have 4 astrea running around in a 10 gallon tho... do you think my tank can support more snails? (was thinking about adding in a shrimp too eventually). Thanks for the advice! Link to comment
