SeaSide
Here's a drawing of my tank. Sorry for crappy drawing. The question is how to mount MH pendant? As you see on pic, I do not think I can make holes at A/C duct to mount MH pendant. I know its sort of ackward. I can't move tank to other location cuz, my place is kinda messy... almost all space are alreay occupied. Any ideas for me? Link to comment
exlfsemployee
SeaSide, is there any way you could mount support arms from the wall behind the tank to mount your MH lights on? as far as I can see in your drawing that is the only option, unless you know what is exactly in that AC duct. is the duct finished or just exposed sheet metal? theclearblue
another option is to make a DIY hood, maybe drill two holes and install fans to vent it. I'm running mine in a DIY hood with an open top (pendant suspended from crossbeam) and haven't run into heat issues. (250w DE) Link to comment
BKtomodachi
I love the "other think I can move" and "mess" but in fw I have used 90 degree brackets and brought lights out from the wall next to the tank. Link to comment
SeaSide
Thank guys. I will look for support arm/bracket thing. But for ideas... can you post your pic for me? Link to comment
SeaSide
Absolutc, That is one good idea too. Do they cut/bend metal conduit for me at HomeDepot? Link to comment
ifynanceu
why not fabricate some supports that attach to the underside of the stand to match and come up and over? take a look at sears at their workbench backwalls with lighting...a similar type idea here is a horrible sketch on my computer, but hey, i didn't try to make it a mona lisa...but with it you get the idea Link to comment
