Squared
over the past few days i noticed my rainbow monti and valida are retracting their polyps, possibly dissolving edges on rainbow, and my idaho grape monti is loosing color...long story short: my SPS do not looks as well as usual. here are some things that i think may be causing this: -possibly not getting as much flow as before -havn't been skimming _possible dying and melting frogspawn (due to me blasting it with too much flow) -noticed a bunch of tiny white bugs crawling around my rainbow monti tested my water yesterday, alk was lower than usual, dosed a little of that. everything else was OK. ...help? what can i do to help my coral? Euphyllia
The tiny white bugs, even if they are nudis, wouldn't explain the val. I would say something's wrong with the water. Try and sizable water change. Link to comment
Squared
i ran out of clean water, and i probably won't be going to the fish store till friday or saturday (parents work a lot) Link to comment

wartskin
Sounds like ya need to get your Alk in check and turn on the skimmer, but after reading your post again sounds like you already know what the problem is and just need a ride.......bummer Link to comment
Squared
Hmm ur right warty...but are white bugs? Are they a pest? For some reason brow copepods like to hang around my SPS....and I don't have enough ro for a salt mix, maybe a gallo, need that for top offs. Link to comment
Formula462
Tell your parents by them not taking you to the lfs, they are killing gods creatures. Albeit very slowly, but surely killing them. Make it THEIR responsibility. Link to comment

19jeffro83
EuPhyllia gets the creepy avatar award. Squared, tell your parents this could be very bad if they don't take you for water. At least to the wallmart for some distilled. Link to comment
ry05coupe
How low was your alk? An alk swing could have caused STN, and the bugs may just be eating dead flesh? Link to comment
Squared
alk was 6. probably was what caused the problems. this weekend i'll work on my tank's problems. i put the sump back on, so the SPS should be getting more flow (return is right above the SPS) added about 7 gallons fresh SW to sump, so that will circulate, and i'll do another wc this weekend as well. Squared
my monti is spitting out guts...kinda looks like nudis, but im pretty sure it's not...do SPS coral spit out guts, like a mushie would? Link to comment
wartskin
This is a bummer reading your post cause I see it going down hill for ya and all you need is a ride.....wish I could help Link to comment
Squared
Guts are gone Salinity Is a bit low What is this ride you keep talking about? Link to comment
DIstudio
I vote since your P's wouldn't give you a ride...any critter that dies in the tank you take and hide it in their sock drawer...that'll teach me. Seriously, hope things work out for ya and you get a ride soon Link to comment
Japsican
Someone local give this kid a ride to the store. I'd do it, but I have to work. Good Luck. Link to comment
Squared
It's ok I'm getting more water so I can do another water change . Then I'm going to start dozing twice a week... They don't looke better but they don't look worse. I just blew a bunch of junk off the SPS, so it probably is a flow issue. But if I put my koralia back where it was, foggy I gone for sure Link to comment
