moultonrock
I'm trying to decide where to put my tank. I have the perfect spot but it is near a window. I know that it's not recomended for freshwater because of the length of time it's exposed to light, it causes major algea. But I've read that some people have a light on in their reef for 24/7. So would it be OK to put my nano neat the window? Link to comment
Crakeur
You may hear otherwise but my nano is sitting in front of a window and it gets morning sunlight (till about 11) and then it gets a reflection at 4 in the afternoon (mirrorred building across the street gives is like a tanning bed). No problems so far. Depends on the amount of light the tank will receive, what you will stock the tank with and how much extra heat the sunlight will produce. Link to comment

moultonrock
Thanks guys. I'll try it in the spot by the window. my window faces south so the sun isn't beaming directly through. I think it will be fine. Link to comment
