i bought 2 Nas. snails will this help the brown algae on the LS , ( i cant find them they went under and now dont know where they are lol) and how can I gt rid of the green algae thats starting?

PS: I put my damsel in a net, you guys as always were right, he attacked the #### out of my new blue/green chromis so he is about to leave this tank asap.

they burrow in the sand and come out on feedings they smell in the tank.If you want to see them add a small peice of shrimp.Even a real small pece they will smell. You will see them in around 30 seconds.they are fast.

do i have to feed them in general or they eat what they want in teh sand?

also, do they or will they eat the fish poop?

test your phosphates

rinse your food

what are you toping off with

what are feeding and how often and how much

how can I test my phosphates? i have the API mastertest kit but not sure if it contains phosphates as it does have pH.

i do rinse the food all the time and I am toping off with Ro/Di water but hvaen't had the chance to since everytime I came to top off I ended up doing a 25% water change (only twice).

I feed them every 3 days and its frozen brine shrimp.

waht will eat the green algae on LR adn LS?

you can try an urchin, chitons, or a sea hare; make sure you keep all pump intakes covered as to not suck up the sea slug

they sell phosphate test kits...

They will stay in the tank.

That kit doesn't come with the Phosphate kit, you have to buy it on it's own, it is about $17 at my LFS so it shouldn't cost that much.

What all have you put in the tank, it seems you have a young tank that may have just finished the cycle. And that may be why you have the algae as well.

Sweeper,

I am impressed. Last time I tried to remove a damsel from a tank, I had to remove every last piece of LR and drain most of the water. I have decided that if I ever place another Damsel in a tank that it will remain there until he dies, the tank dies, or Armagedon [world dies]
