saltwatercoral
Nice looking Acans! wish they were more readily available around me! or was able to order them online like you guys! Thanks jackmccann! All my frags except for 2 of the bigger colonies are from 1 person. I found him on CL and decided to take a chance. He has a big 300g tank with tons of higher end chalice and only has the good stuff! He is the one I am getting 13 more frags of acan lords from next week! His setup is insanly clean and so well taken care of! Link to comment

saltwatercoral
Alright just got a quick with no color in the pic but its a pic of the 18 acan frags I am getting on thursday. Going to put these guys in the tank and feed them and let them grow! 5 of the 18 are very popular now and the others are run of the mill but still look great and will produce a nice pop of color once they fill in. pschom
Is that Porites? They are real great IMO. One of the best corals I've had. Grow kinda slow but I haven't had an issue with them so again IMO they are super hardy. Love the palys too. Link to comment

urbaneks
Looks like the $ Pit is living up to it's name! You have a lot of nice frags that were added. Have you considered cutting them off of the frag plugs and mounting them directly to your rock work? I personally never add any plugs to my aquarium. Link to comment

I am trying to fill the tank with a ton of acan lords. I am going to put some other different frags in the tank soon. I don't like the look of the frag plugs but that's how they come when I get them. How do I even go about cutting them Off the pucks? Link to comment
Mstefa1
Thanks urbaneks! I am trying to fill the tank with a ton of acan lords. I am going to put some other different frags in the tank soon. I don't like the look of the frag plugs but that's how they come when I get them. How do I even go about cutting them Off the pucks? Easy grasshopper. I prefer to slide a razor blade between the frag & the plug to break the bond. It's generally extremely easy however it may be more difficult with frags that have been growing awhile on the plug. I'd never stick a mounted frag in my tank unless I fragged it and mounted it for purposes to move it. Link to comment

MikeTR
Man that acan garden is going to look bonzer when it fills in. Not sure I'd worry too much about the plugs, they'll be covered soon enough anyway. If you do want to mess with it, they're probably just superglued on the plug, should pop right off. Link to comment

I kinda had the same idea as you in regards to the plugs. I thought they should over grow them within a few months so I will leave them alone. Link to comment
urbaneks
Where did you order all of the frags from? Have they all made it through the shipping and acclimation? Link to comment
