schipsrbest
This is the final setup. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I think i will have to glue the top rock on the right. It is pretty stable, but I am worried it could get knocked off, as it is just kind of perched there. I already had a little bristle worm crawling on the glass this morning Link to comment
LunaReef
Looks nice!! I have the same Marineland filter on our tank. Are you getting a lot of splashback/salt creep from yours? We are, no matter the water level. Link to comment
KissMyDSM
Nice looking scape. Just remember the rocks closest to the glass makes it a real pain to clean especially when coral grows out a bit. Link to comment
boscoT
Agreed u r going to hate the rock close to the sides of the tank. I always leave enough room for mag float to get between Link to comment

We are, no matter the water level. Thanks! I find it splashes up if the water level drops. I keep it pretty high, so it is covering almost up to the bottom of the cover. I have the same filter (in different sizes) on 2 other tanks and find the same thing. I also think it splashes more with the bio wheel in place. I may end up taking it out of this tank. How small can feather dusters be? There is a tiny (the tube is maybe 2-3 mm) thing that looks like one in one of the crevices. I have seen it extended and then just the tube and then extended out again later. I think is it too small to get a good picture of, plus it is at an awkard angle. This is so exciting How long until the novelty wears off and I feel the need to stop and stare at the tank every few minutes wanes? Lori Link to comment

I totally new to this too and was wondering the same thing. i stare every 3 mins. and when i'm not home, i think about staring at it. My problem is I work from home, so the temptation is constant! Luckily it is not in my office or I would get absolutely nothing done. I have my dwarf puffer tank in here to keep me company and they are distracting enough LOL! And that's not counting the 3 dogs..... Link to comment

They are really cute little guys and very curious. I will often be working and feel their little eyes on me and look over and see them bobbing there staring at me (I am sure trying to telepathically tell me to go get some more blood worms LOL!)
