Parameterr; ALK 9 cal 440 mg 1350 ph 7.8 (in am) phos-0 nit/nit- 0 I cchange water every weekend 5 gal. My SPS isnt colorful...it seems fading... tips? advice?? thanks! Link to comment
JaneG
Are all of your sps fading or just a select few? It actually could be from too much light (I could be wrong, though). LEDs give off a very surprising amount of PAR, and (supposedly) it's extremely easy to bleach your corals underneath them. How are your other corals (non sps, if any) responding? Link to comment
Euphyllia
I noticed that my montis and birdsnests were very unhappy with my ates/ites. When I got them down to 0, they all look better again. Keep a close eye on ates/ites Try putting a few layers of window screen over the tank. Did you acclimate the SPS to your lights? Link to comment

I used to have my sandbed recieving 300+ par and I don't know what my surface was getting, but my corals where totally browned out from over exposure, it's quite surprising they didn't just bleach. Or explode. Link to comment

East1
Yikes. That is a LOT of par. not to worry, I've downgraded to a simple 27W PAR38 that's 8 inches off the surface now, my sps have colored up in leaps and bounds. Link to comment
