Ok so got a clown fish 4 days ago and had him in QT for 3 and hes was doing good so i put him in my DT. I noticed that hes swiming tail up and face down and im no marine biologist but it dosnt seem right he wasnt swimming like this in QT and its the same water, i looked it up and somone said it could be a air blader thing and to feed him skinned pees but, hes not wanting to eat them if anyone knows what is wrong it would be greatly appreciated

p.s. my water levels and parameters are right where they are needed

Clowns get their names from behavior like this. I've had clowns that sit directly on top of the water, ones that avoid being seen and hide in the back at all times, ones that swim weird....and now a pair that is perfectly normal and hosting my frogspawn.

They are silly.

like every one has said clowns just do very weird things, like mine doesn't like to sleep in the rocks he just floats at the top in one corner at night. There just weird fish that do weird things

An example of clowns doing weird things: my black ocellaris is currently sideways on top of my citrinis clown goby who is perched in his trumpet coral.

My clowns new way of saying hello is tucking his left fin in and swimming towards the glass with his mouth open - this is not aggression because he does it slowly :) And that is an indicator that he is hungry!

Also when my anemone deflates.. my clown lies sleeping on the rock with his face right in the middle of all the deflated tentacles - And he lies motionless in the current :)

He used to hide in the back side of the rock, he now hosts the hatian with my blenny.. go figure..

I haven't seen a clownfish in a LFS that wasn't doing something weird. They're entertaining. I wish there were other fish who seemed to act the same way.
