SDMike
I haven't done the whole tank, but I have cut sections out of a 20L before. Didn't seem to do much to the structural integrity the little bit that I did. Cool thing about goofing this up is you're not out bunches of money for a new tank... Mike Link to comment
MGXsport
I like the black frame because it frames the tank like a picture frame keeps the eye on the subject Link to comment
SeaSide
I saw some trimless tank when I was travelling at asian countries. So, my quess is why not try? But difference is... they have very smoothly siliconed all the way up to the top of the glass. I wonder how you deal with those ugly silicon pieces when you take off that insubordinate (funny word) black trim arround the top. Link to comment
matt the fiddler
if it is the black frame, that goes on the top and bottom of the glass....- that is very important to the structural support of the tank.. be carefull removing it... Link to comment
Von digity
I wouldn't try a 20 long. Maybe <10 gallons, but not a 20 long. You could always get some thin peices of glass cut and "Euro-brace" it. That would probly consist of de-siliconing the tank, and then re-siliconing it. Link to comment
MGXsport
Or just buy one of those tanks that is all ready and built like that Link to comment
