Colt Coral/ Tree Coral

This was sold to me as a Colt Coral, looking at various pictures I would agree. What I didnt know or ever see was that it self propagates A LOT !!!!!!! Unless there is something wrong or its just happy as h3!! The thing WAS nice tall and looking good in my eyes, now since it has decided to go on a rampage of propagation its small and .....well ugly. Is this a spree that they go on and will taper off? or am I going to have to keep chasing through the rocks for all the frags it decides to spawn all the time? This is what it looks like now, approx. 6 more frags coming from it.

 

 

 

 

One question is should I let the pieces come off naturally or can I nip them where they are separating? Id like to nip them off saving me the time of finding them in the rock work.
