I tried 10k and 50k ohm pots from radio shack, all about the same. They were liner-taper potentiometers, I'm not sure if they are the right type or not. Only other type they had said audio potentiometer. Luckily for me I like the light almost all the way up. The corals seem to be opening up larger then ever with the new lights. Been about a week now and I'm seeing colors I didnt know I had.

thats good - i had to turn mine way down so i dont cook corals lol

I think I can run them all the way up because I have a rsm130 and I still have the lens cover on that covered the stock lights. Kind of acts like a diffuser a little.

I was looking at the 14 dimmable kit and it comes with 2 drivers and 1 power cord.

Do I just combine the drivers together and connect it to the power cord?

I might want to use a project box that the pots go into. And have all the wires connect to the box and out the other end using banana plugs or something so it is a quick disconnect system.

I want to buy an "Aquarium 24 LEDs DIY Dimmable Kit" set for my 10 gallon.

Goal is to be able to grow everything I want, including SPS.

My question: what options should I take?

I'm thinking 12 white, 12 blue.

White leds: all 4500K (neutral white, right?)

Meanwell LPF-25D-42

Optics 60 degrees

18x30 cm heatsink (will have to cut it down)

Any help? Especially for the driver.

I would just go with the standard drivers unless you have a controller to dim them. Mine have been running at almost 100% for about a year without issue. You probably won't need the optics on a 10 gallon. Go with the 60 and experiment with and without. I ended up not using them over my 10 gallon.
