Sahin
I have to agree, they are certainly very colouful, very beautiful creatures. However, across my reading I have found that its not recomended keeping these unless you are a very expert reef keeper. They require utmost water quality. They are 100% filter feeders and require a well established and large tank to support thier needs. The most colourful of ones are also typically the most poisonous. I personally wouldnt recommend them. I have read of whole tanks being wiped out due to one of these dying and releasing poison. Even the eggs of some of these are poisonous. Below are a few sites I came up with, hope this is helpful. http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cl...&articleid=2113 http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cl...&articleid=2115 http://www.marinedepotlive.com/1183594.html http://saltaquarium.about.com/gi/dynamic/o.../apple%2Drd.htm http://saltaquarium.about.com/library/week...ly/aa061199.htm (Edited by Sahin at 12:26 pm on June 23, 2002) Link to comment
cjm033
i say if you want a sea apple maby start a sea apple and seacucumber with sum inverts (mabyy a star fish i heard they do well with sea apples and surviving from the "explosions") so i think a sea apple and sea cucumber tank with some inverts would be a good choice (i mentioned and the sea cucumber im pretty sure you know this already but incase you dont the sea apple and cucumber are closely related and can withstand eachothers poision most of the time) god luck,Chris:) Link to comment
