disaster999
congrats on the purchase. i have a 30" tall tank and hate working in it. im not short by all means, 6'1", and i have to use a step ladder to get the extra reach. Link to comment
steely185
Can't wait to see it up and running Adam. Will you be using a canopy or leaving it open. The depth on my deep dimension wasn't as much of an issue as moving things around while having a canopy. Nice score. Link to comment
adam87
The tank has been drilled!!! Link to comment
Rocket
A via aqua 3600 pumps a lot of water. You don't need Huge flow through a sump. The returns are not your primary source of flow. Get some big GPH power heads. You could get a mp60 vortech and cover most of your needs. With large tanks, research power efficiency's. As pumps that put out the same GPH have huge power differences. And watch the head height needs of your tank. Link to comment

Rocket
Awesome! But you may want to move it from the wall a bit on both sides. You will need to get a hand behind there. Link to comment
hooligan_78
+1. My 40b looks weird sticking out so far, but I was determined to be able to get behind it if I dropped something, or a fish decided to explore the wonders of the carpet. Link to comment
redwhiteandblue
i as well have mine off the wall a bit. in fact it is uncentered on the wall just do i can get in the corner to reach the back. I have about 7 inches off the wall to allow for an arms reach on each side. I can reach every bulkhead in the back, along with the valves and unions. I know this might not be possible with the room, but I def would sacrifice a little " looks" for peace of mind Link to comment
fewskillz
Nice looking tank. Good luck with that extra 6" of height. My arms aren't that long! Link to comment
adam87
I'm still working on it, its almost done. I still need to buy the baffles for the sump. Later I will add a 29g for the Refugium. Link to comment
