fish-boy
This is just an idea that may never happen, but i want to make a shallow tank and section off a part of it for seahorses. It would be 12"L x 21"W x 12"H. Besides H. zosterae (which i think only eat live foods) what (seahorse) could i put in there? Anything? Pipefish? Is H. erectus too big? Thanks for looking. Kazooie
I think they like taller tanks vs. wider tanks Link to comment

Wizzy
This sounds like a really interesting idea! Most species of pipefish would probably be too big for that sized area though (Approx. 13 gallons). They reach a size of about 5-7 inches. However the Blue Stripe Pipefish only gets to be about 3 inches long. If you could find one/train one to eat frozen food I think that this idea could be very do-able. Hope This Helps- Wizzy Link to comment
fish-boy
The blue stripe pipefish would work if I got it eating frozen. Link to comment
Swanwillow
Pipefish of the dwarf varieties would work (in the full tank) there's reef pipefish. But no seahorses. Link to comment
