DK_Reef
Is the hydor flo deflector worth the $10? Link to comment
nor_cal_nano
Absolutely IMO. Has some annoying quirks, but you can't beat 10 bucks for random flow. Link to comment
thadscottmoore
I wouldnt buy one again... pain with anything getting into the gears and stopping the rotation- and also, it cuts down on flow from the pump.... Link to comment
nanotrevor
i like mine, never had any issues and since its in a nc6 with a mj606 i can afford some loss if flow. Link to comment
d0lph1n
I like it a lot but it might need constant attention. Link to comment
Fluffeh
only problem i had was on my biocube 29 it didn't have a really snug fitting on the return outlet and it would go flying off and none of the 4 fittings worked good. but i took some teflon tape and wrapped it around the hydorflo until it fit snug in. i loved it. i dont even remember ever having to mess with it other than making it fit snug. DK_Reef
thanks for the answers, I went ahead and ordered one for the $10 and will review how it works when I get it. Link to comment
thadscottmoore
let me clarify- I ran mine for a year before I encountered problems- mainly I thought it was coraline algae buildup and did a vinegar bath- continued to have problems and ended up just removing it.... and I did have problems too on keeping it attached for the first week of use... I had one and had nothing but problems with mine. I had to clean it constantly and I finally threw it in a box. Link to comment
