PinkDamsel
How do you all insert a thumbnail photo? I can do a full-size, but don't see a command for the thumbnail. Link to comment
seabass
When you attach a photo (not link it), a thumbnail is displayed. Otherwise you can link the picture, and use the thumbnail as the text. Hope that makes sense. Link to comment
PinkDamsel
Sorry to be so stupid, but how do you attach a photo - by using this Insert Image command? When I click this button, paste in the URL for the image from my picture hosting site it puts in the full-size photo. But I see the hosting site has several options, so I'll test here w. a picture of my crab holding a blue thingy as a pompom substitute. 1. URL 2. HTML 3. BB Code (does that stand for Bulletin Board?) 4. Clickable Thumb - tried this before and it didn't work Whoops! A message says I entered a link the Admin does not allow, so now I'll remove 2-4 one by one. None of them work, except the URL. Help?? Link to comment
PinkDamsel
This is ridiculous, everyone can do this except me! So now I'm trying the Insert Link command (little green cross). Crab Great! Still no thumbnail. One more try, using the image for the text: http://picturehosting.com/images/katmajid/...ompom772011.jpg <a href="http://picturehosting.com/browse.php?view=1&id=195271"><img border="0" src="http://picturehosting.com/thumbs/katmajid/bluepompom772011.jpg" alt="image hosting by http://picturehosting.com/" /></a> OOOOOOh, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! tam
You're still doing it wrong. The link from picturehosting.com may show you a thumbnail of your photo in addition to the full-size but it links the full size image (because that's what most people use.) If you want to use a thumbnail via Picturehosting.com you have to use the direct link to that thumbnail image. (Right-click the actual thumbnail photo and "Copy Image URL" or whatever your browser says.) But in doing so you will only post the thumbnail that is NOT linked to the fullsize image. If you want to do what you see commonly done on this forum you need to attach the image to the post instead of using the hosting website. This can only be only in +ADD REPLY and NOT +FAST REPLY at the bottom of the page. On the post page you'll see a box under the "Post" section called "Attachment Editor" use this to upload your photos and it will appeared thumb-nailed at the bottom of your post as such.
