...ok.. this is interesting... now the Apex Jr. isn't even listed on marine depot...

And my order has been pending for 3 weeks? What gives?

I love the baby hermit in the nassarius shell! I also have a baby red leg in a nass shell :D

Yeah I think it was pretty cool to find one so small! Now I just need some asterina stars and I'm all set :)

Well.. it's official. Cancelled the order on the Apex Jr. It's been on back order at least since I've ordered it which was 9/1. I'll wait for the Vertex Cerebra... it will play nicely with the light.

Reef Cleaner order should arrive tomorrow Thursday via priority shipping. Not bad timing, I'd say. :)

Also found this on RC... interesting:

I'll wait for the Red/UV combo.

Please excuse my ADD/ADHD ;)

All macros made their home in the sump. :)

Awesome!

Thanks!

God Almighty! That be a lot of snails! Super duper CUC.

Yes, Reefcleaners.org are really good about giving customers extras and make the effort to fill realistic special request. (my special request was a red macro algae for my "penny" macro deal) I read quite a bit of great reviews on this sponsor and learned that they do ship a ton of extras... I bought 15 and received like ~70ish? These Ceriths are very small though so I don't mind and like I said.. ordered extremely low quantity compared to what I thought I needed (just in case).

:)

Awesome tank! No one has asked yet... what are your stocking plans for this beast?

Not in stone yet, but I plan on the following fish:

BSJ (This would be #4)

Kole Tang (algae control)

Dwarf Angel of some type

Wrasse of some sort (flat worm control)

Mandarin Goby

Maybe a small school of Cardinals

Corals will be SPS (Color over type/LE)

My main goal is a mature SPS tank grown from small to medium frags (like my former tank)

Hope that helps :)

Small update before my long trip.

Coraline algae on my marcorock dry rock! Finally!

Coraline on the glass... growing in a weird crystal/cauliflower like pattern:

2011-10-09120103.jpg

Also pods galore.. all the white spots are copepods hanging out on the glass... definitely ready for some other livestock now (but will have to wait until I get back)

Also, I might have access to a spectrometer and a PAR meter when I get back to get a better idea for coral placement... I also expect to return with at least one frag of SPS coral I'll pick up on my way home from the trip.

What did you use to seed the coraline. since you used dry rock did you use live sand or did you seed it with something else ? NEVER MIND i went back a few pages and saw you had some live in your sump
